2. Location

Covering an area in the very south-western tip of Western Australia, the college is surrounded by some beautiful landscape. Most popular might be the Cape-to-Cape region which includes such popular destinations as Margaret River and the Cape Leeuwin-Naturalist National Park. 3. Campuses

South West Regional College of TAFE’s major campus is located in the city of Bunbury. This campus also functions as the administrative heart of the TAFE. Here students can enjoy the advantages of purpose-built facilities such as workshops and laboratories as well as a fully functional training restaurant. A child-care centre, an extensive library and an open learning centre are just some of the various amenities of this location.

Other regional campuses can be found in Busselton, Collie, Harvey, Margaret River and Manjimup. The Margaret River campus provides a unique feature with its renowned wine training facility. Students receive training in all aspects of wine grape growing, wine making and cellar door sales. 

4. Accomodation

Paterson House near the Bunbury campus offers accommodation for up to 40 students. Its ten fully equipped units contain four single bedrooms, a kitchen area as well as a bathroom and a toilet area.

6. Entry Requirements

These may vary from course to course. In general, it is necessary to provide a school education that is the equivalent to the Australian years 10-12 with passes in English.

Furthermore, enrolment at TAFE WA requires a minimum level of English language skills (equivalent of IELTS academic version min. of 5.5).

7. Student Activities

As a major tourist destination the South West of Western Australia has a lot to offer to the active person. Surfing is just one of the various possibilities. During spring and early summer majestic whales can be spotted from the coast or one of the many cruise vessels. Not to be missed are bushwalking in the ancient Karri forests or the exploration of the extensive cave systems throughout the area.
